Professional Background:
Charlie Motley brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the design and development of industrial machinery and semi-automated equipment. His career began with a focus on the automated dispensing of fluids, where he worked on applications and R&D projects for both retail and industrial machinery dispensing abrasive liquids. Charlie later transitioned to the metallurgical industry, where he designed semi-automated equipment and earned his first patent for automated sample preparation equipment, which also received a design award.
After obtaining his MBA, Charlie advanced into engineering management, successfully leading teams in the USA, UK, and Germany. He played a pivotal role in building an engineering department from the ground up for a manufacturing company in the iron foundry and manufacturing sector. In 2006, he acquired a business specializing in the design, in-house manufacturing, assembly, and integration of custom automated machinery. His recent work involves heavier industrial automation, including robotics, material handling, custom machinery, and project management.
