Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council’s 17th Annual Conference to Feature Keynote Speaker Jennifer Anderson at Harley Davidson Garage & Museum

Milwaukee, Wis.

The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council (WSBC) is revved to announce its 17th Annual Conference, which will be held on November 12-13, 2024, at the Harley Davidson Garage & Museum in Milwaukee, WI. This premier business-to-business event will bring together regional leaders in business and sustainability to explore progress and future directions in sustainability.

This year’s conference will feature Jennifer Anderson, Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development at Generac, as a keynote speaker. Jennifer, who joined Generac in January 2024, will share insights into the company’s ESG strategy and sustainability achievements. With a robust background that includes roles as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Business Development, and Chief Sustainability Officer at Carrier, as well as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Tyson Foods, Jennifer brings a wide breadth of experience in corporate strategy and sustainability. The conference will address how businesses can advance their sustainability efforts amid rising expectations and pressures related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. Attendees will gain valuable insights into reducing costs, minimizing environmental impact, boosting employee satisfaction, and tapping into new markets through effective sustainability practices.

The event will feature the Sustainable Business Awards Reception at Milwaukee Tool on November 12 and continue at the legendary Harley Davidson Garage & Museum on November 13 with additional keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities.

This year’s breakout sessions are organized into three focused tracks:

  • Track 1: Environmental Impact & Innovation: This track emphasizes practical sustainability in operations, including tracking metrics, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, implementing renewable technologies, and designing for reduced environmental impact. Sessions will highlight innovative solutions and strategies to reduce environmental footprints.
  • Track 2: Developing & Implementing Sustainability Programs: Ideal for beginners and intermediates, this track provides essential knowledge for developing and advancing sustainability initiatives within organizations. Sessions include getting started with sustainability, launching programs, crafting customized sustainability strategies, and reporting impacts for effective storytelling and growth.
  • Track 3: Advanced Sustainability & Governance: Geared towards those looking to deepen their understanding of sustainability governance and advanced concepts, this track covers regulatory compliance, double materiality, prioritization, and supply chain sustainability. It also includes sessions designed for peer support and collaboration on advancing ESG initiatives.
